THE SAMMCO BANK LTD was established in the year 1964, started as a dream by the promoter Mr. Shyame Gowda to give a new lease of life to co-operative societies. In the year 1960, around 80% of the co operative societies in existence were in trouble.
In the beginning we provided services as a co-operative society for betel nut merchants with only 24 internal and 17 external members. The Honourable Mr. Shyame Gowda started the bank’s journey as a Promoter.
Completing its glorious 61 years as on 2025 THE SAMMCO BANK LTD., has come a long way since it’s induction.
It stands tall with a current operational transaction of Rs. 6455 crores.
